Prairie has developed a broad expertise in the restoration and redevelopment of many heritage buildings. As the winners of many heritage awards from Heritage Canada and Heritage Winnipeg, Prairie has developed a unique reputation for a detailed approach to restoration and redevelopment of heritage buildings. We have restored dozens of buildings including majestic bank buildings, humble log post offices, curling clubs, churches, theatres and the National Historic site of the Inglis Grain Elevators. Prairie has extended this expertise to the conversion of many heritage buildings from churches and warehouses to multiple residential facilities, from warehouses to modern office facilities and from convents to museums. As well, we have developed a particular understanding of the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada that has enabled us to prepare projects for the new federal government registry.
