She is driven by the conviction that meaningful sustainability necessitates a systemic and resilient approach to design and that architects have an important role in addressing the climate crisis.
Congratulations to Mackenzie Skoczylas, who has been officially admitted to membership with the MAA as an Architect! Mackenzie graduated in 2021 from the University of Manitoba with a Masters degree in Architecture. As an Anishinaabe woman, and member of Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, her interests lay in providing Indigenous identity within contemporary architecture and sustainable building design.
